Garoppolo doubtful, but 49ers 'holding out hope'

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo didn't practice again Friday and is officially doubtful with a right thumb injury, but coach Kyle Shanahan said he's "not ready to announce" that Trey Lance will start Sunday against the Texans.
